Thursday’s Thoughts from Pastor David!
“Running on Empty?”

Have you ever looked down at your phone and seen this?
3%

Suddenly, nothing else matters.
You start closing apps.
You turn down the brightness.
You stop watching videos.
You start looking around desperately for an outlet.
Because you know something:
You’re running out.

Phones aren’t the only things that run out.

We do too.
We run out of energy.
We run out of patience.
We run out of enthusiasm.

Sometimes we even run out of the ability to pretend that we’re not running out!
And strangely enough, some of us feel guilty when that happens.

We think strong people aren’t supposed to get tired.
Strong Christians aren’t supposed to get discouraged.
People of faith are supposed to keep going, keep smiling, keep believing and somehow keep that little internal battery glowing green.

But what happens when it turns RED?
What happens when you realize:
I don’t have enough.

This Sunday we continue our sermon series:
I LOVE BIG BUTS!
When God Gets the Last Word

And we're going to encounter one of the most honest sentences in the Bible:
“My flesh and my heart may fail, BUT…”

I’ll stop right there.
Because what comes after that BUT changes everything.
If you've been running a little low lately, Sunday might be just for you.

Laugh often and Fear not!
David!
